Welcome Welcome to the Royal British Legion website for Quorn (Quorndon) Village in Leicestershire, England. The Quorn branch was formed in 1936 by ex-servicemen who fought in the grim battle of the 1914-1918 War, and is committed to safeguarding the welfare, interests and memory of those who have served in the Armed Forces and their dependants. It provides financial, social and emotional support, and its benevolence spans all age groups from the oldest to the very young. In 2001 the Royal British Legion, to which the Quorn branch is affiliated, spent more than £40 million providing welfare services and relieving distress. The annual Poppy Appeal raises about half, and the rest comes from other fundraising methods such as legacies, direct mail, special events, corporate donations, sponsorship and trading. The Quorn branch of The Royal British Legion is well known in the local area for its fundraising events, in particular, the concert which it organises annually at nearby Beaumanor Hall, has become a very important event in the fundraising calendar. Further details of the concert can be found on our Events page and you can read a review of the 2001 concert here. How you can help Contact us if you would like to help the Legion. From taking part in a fundraising event, to donating on a regular basis, every penny helps us in our vital work. Our contact details can be found here.
