Demolition of Wrights' Chimney

In the last few months we have heard a great deal about Wrights' Chimney, and its demolition, and you will see comments on the Chimney in several of the articles and letters in this issue.

Many regret the passing of such a village landmark, and to mark the occasion we bring you the before and almost after. The photographs have been supplied by Ian Galer and Chris Rigby, who took the one below on one of his many balloon flights over the village.

The Quorndon is aware of discussions on the possible development of the site, and will bring you more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, let's hope that any further development at Wrights Mill enhances the centre of the village, and makes full use of the beauty of the old mill building.
