In the winter of 1995, the first edition of The Quorndon Magazine was published and distributed free of charge to every home and business in the village of Quorn. Over the following years the magazine grew to be a much respected representation of village life, promoting the many community activities, and businesses in the village, all of which were later contained in a village Directory which is produced as a supplement to the magazine.

In late 1997, the idea of publishing The Quorndon Magazine on the Internet was discussed, and after enquiries into the technical aspects of producing the magazine online, a new member joined the team, Simon Roulstone. After a number of meetings with the magazine team, it was decided that all of the past editions of the magazine should be included on the website, and this Archive should be made available to everyone as a valuable historical resource about Quorn village.

Since the website was launched, the response from around the world has been outstanding, with families searching for lost relatives, to the archive being used for homework, many visitors have commented on how memories of the village have been revived by the articles published in The Quorndon Magazine.

As well as the printed version of the magazine winning awards, so the Online version of The Quorndon Magazine has won some of it's own Awards too, these awards are very important to the magazine as it gives recognition for all the teams efforts in making the magazine one of the best village magazines in the country.
